De Tijger Brigade op Midden Java 1946 - 1949

32nd Supply and transport Company was raised on 5th November 1946 in Harderwijk. Like a normal Supply and Transport Company it had 5 platoons. Being a Staff Platoon, A Workshop Platoon, two transport Platoons but unlike a common Supply and transport Company it also had a Supply Platoon. I was the Supply Platoons job to distribute the daily and weekly supplies within a Brigade. Beside this it controlled the work on the Bakery and slaughterhouse and Ammunition Storage Yard.
The 32nd Supply and transport Company left for Dutch East India onboard Zuiderkruis on 11th June 1947 arriving in Semarang on 10th July 1947. It was not much time they got for acclimasation. The Supply Platoon was incooperated with the 2nd Supply Platoon Tijger Brigade. And less than two weeks later on 21st July 1947 the 1st Police Action started. Although 32nd Supply and transport Company lacked experience they was put in support of different units of the Tijger Brigade during the 1st Police Action.
After the 1st police Action the 32nd Supply and transport Company was transferred to Salatiga. Here the daily work consisted transporting food and foul from Semarang to Salatiga. On 4th January 1948 32nd Supply and transport Company was transferred to East Java leaving the Supply Platoon behind in Salatiga under command of 17nd Supply and Transport Company.

During the 2nd Police Action the Supply Platoon of the 32nd Supply and transport Company was moved from Semarang to the airfield Magoewo at Djocjakarta being stationed in Djocjakarta itself on 23rd December 1948.
Here the Supply Platoon of the 32nd Supply and transport Company stayed until the Tijger Brigade was ordered to leave town following the results of diplomatic negotiations.
The 32nd Supply and transport Company stayed in Dutch East India until 1st April 1950 onboard General Muir arriving in Rotterdam on 24th April 1950.
